In the third quarter of 2023, Facebook Messenger generated 3.11 million downloads in Brazil. The app reached its peak of downloads during the third quarter of 2018, but registered its lowest numbers in the country so far. On the other hand, WhatsApp remains the most used social network by more than 90 percent of Brazilian internet users and throughout neighboring countries of Latin America.
