Distribution of fixed broadband subscriptions in Portugal 2023, by access type
In 2023, optical fiber was the main form of fixed broadband internet access, reaching 66 percent of total accesses in Portugal. Cable access represented 26 percent of the subscriptions, while mobile networks accounted for a five percent share of internet access. ADSL was the least popular way of accessing the internet, measuring at three percent.
