On August 21, 2022, HBO featured the series premiere of "House of the Dragon," a prequel to the widely popular series "Game of Thrones" from the same network. The first episode alone drew nearly 10 million viewers across HBO and Max. The second episode was even watched by over 10 million people across both, linear and streaming platform. However, the number of viewers for the premiere of the second season decreased to 7.8 million.
