SAIDI stands for "System Average Interruption Duration Index". SAIDI calculations do not include unplanned disruptions which can be traced back to an act of nature beyond control, such as natural disasters. It includes only unplanned disruptions which can be traced back to atmospheric effects, third parties, repercussions from other networks or other disruptions for the network provider. Additionally only those disruptions are recorded which lasted at least three minutes.
