Number of medtech companies in Italy 2020, by macro-region

In 2020, there were 227 medical technology companies in Italy. This statistic breaks this figure down by macro-region where these companies were located. Almost half of the medtech companies in the country were located in the north-west. This area counted 108 companies operating in this industry. The Italian north-east followed, with 72 companies. The north-west was not only the macro-region with the highest number of medical technology companies, but also the area where the average revenue per company was highest.
