According to a survey conducted in Tunisia in 2021, 28 percent of the respondents who said they do not feel secure in public areas attributed their response to a shortage of security patrols in the country. This was followed by 25 percent who justified their response by the shortage of security agents on the streets. Moreover, 12 percent said the response's time to help requests was long.
