Source of ransomware payments funding worldwide 2024, by payment source

The leading form of generating funding was through the organization when paying cybersecurity ransom. Cyber insurance provider ranked second, with 23 percent of respondents noting they paid ransom requests through their insurance providers. Less than 20 percent of respondents generated funds through parent companies.
