In 2024, Malaysia produced and assembled around 744,000 passenger vehicles, an increase from nearly 725,000 units produced in 2023. Production of passenger cars in Malaysia had decreased in 2020 and 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, and increased significantly in 2022.
