As of May 12, 2025, ByteDance's flagship product TikTok had amassed almost 6.75 billion global downloads since its release in 2016. The Chinese company owns 110 apps that operate in 60 countries across the world.
CapCut, a video editor that complements TikTok, is ByteDance’s second beloved application. It was the only tool app that cracked the top ten most downloaded mobile apps in 2024. The app’s recent artificial intelligence capabilities have cemented its role in content creation among other leading AI tools. Other prominent apps from ByteDance are Toutiao (China's most popular news and information app), Xigua Video (a video-sharing site), and Ulike (a beauty camera and photo editor).
