Echo chambers in instant messaging apps have restricted users to access diverse viewpoints in Taiwan. According to a survey released in July 2022, over two-thirds of Taiwanese users found that they were at least somewhat in an echo chamber when using instant messaging apps. Comparatively, approximately *** percent of respondents could find totally different viewpoints in such apps.
