Population breakdown of the French overseas regions 2020, by age group

As of 2020, individuals under 14 years of age were the largest age group in La Réunion and in French Guiana, with 22.3 and 32.6 percent of the population, respectively. In Guadeloupe and Martinique, people between 45 and 59 years of age were the most numerous, with 23.2 and 24.3 percent of the population, respectively.
In these two regions, the population has been slightly increasing in recent years, while the population of French Guiana has increased sixfold in five decades, and that of La Réunion has doubled.
