In 2023, the deployment segment accounted for the largest share of jobs within the European Union's solar market, at around 87 percent. This was followed by the operations and maintenance segment, representing a 5.2 percent share of the solar market's workforce. That year, the European Union's solar market had employed over 714,000 full-time equivalents.
