Investment in regasification between 2021 an 2050 is expected to be the highest in the Asia Pacific region, at a value of *** billion U.S. dollars, while North America is expected to take the lead in liquefaction capacity investment, at *** billion U.S. dollars over the same timeframe. It is also forecast that the midstream natural gas investments in Europe and Latin America over that timeframe will primarily be earmarked for regasification, while in Africa, Eurasia, and the Middle East it will be mostly in liquefaction capacity.
