Credit transfers: transactions handled by the Zengin System and other retail payment networks (domestic only); excluding credit transfers through on-us accounts. Checks: transactions handled by all bill and check clearing systems in Japan. Payments by card with a debit function: based on data from four debit card networks (J-Debit, JCB, VISA, and UnionPay). E-money payments: figures include QR and barcode payments from 2018 onwards. E-money payments are not separated from payments by card with credit function.
