Remittances received by Tajikistan were estimated to make up over 32 percent of the country's gross domestic product (GDP) in 2022. That was the highest dependency rate on remittances among European and Central Asian countries. In total, Tajikistan's remittances were measured at 3.2 billion U.S. dollars in that year. In Ukraine, remittances made up 14 percent of GDP.
