As of February 2022, made-to-order prepared food was a popular service offered by grocery stores according to more than half of Canadian consumers, 30 percent of whom had tried the service in question. In-store restaurants were not as common, but they were experienced by 18 percent of respondents and would potentially be tried by another 24 percent if stores offered them.
