The increase in Czechia's spending on health care has accelerated in the observed period. While between 2010 and 2015, the expenditure rose by around 4 billion Czech koruna each year, this increase sped up in the following years. Initially, it rose by 10 billion koruna in 2016, then by 15 billion koruna in 2017, and finally by around 36 billion koruna in 2018 and 2019. This annual difference amounted to about 86 billion in 2020, with Czechia spending over 526 billion koruna on health care that year. In 2022, nearly 600 billion koruna was spent on health care.
