A survey, conducted in the United States in October 2023, found that social media and user-generated content (UGC) are the main drivers for music discovery among Gen Z and Millennials consumers. That year, ** percent of respondents from Generation Z and ** percent among Millennials stated that they discovered music like this. These figures decrease significantly for older generations, for whom radio stations play a more important role for their music discovery.
