Brazil's banking sector had the highest deposit balance in Latin America in 2023, amounting to over one trillion U.S. dollars. Mexico ranked second, with 462.67 billion U.S. dollars, although the gap between Brazil and Mexico was notable. Paraguay and El Salvador were the countries with the lowest deposit balances, with 20.07 and 16.14 billion U.S. dollars, respectively.
