According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in China in 2025 on social commerce, around 79 percent of respondents aged 16 to 24 who bought things via social media before stated they bought clothing articles. Other popular categories across the age groups included cosmetics and beauty products, as well as food, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages.
