The top destination visited by domestic overnight visitors in Australia in the year ended December 2024 was Sydney, with over 11.3 million visitors recorded that year. Melbourne and Brisbane were also very popular destinations among domestic overnight tourists, followed by famous beach and surfing spots, NSW's North and South Coast.
