After falling below 200 index points following the financial crisis at the end of 2008, the Stoxx Europe 600 Index has fluctuated significantly in recent years. As of the end of 2024, the Stoxx Europe 600 Index stood at 507.62 points, the highest year-end value recorded throughout the period considered.

The Stoxx Europe 600 index also called the STOXX 600 is an indicator of the performance of the European stock market. It measures the performance of large mid and small-cap companies across 17 countries in Europe. The number of constituents is fixed at 600.
