Monthly usage time of mobile internet in China 2024, by category

In December 2024, Chinese users spent an average of 171.7 hours on mobile internet, up by 3.5 percent compared to the same month in 2023. Among all categories, short video apps recorded the highest monthly usage, with an average of 62.9 hours. Besides, entertainment apps, particularly mobile games and video streaming, were where users spent plenty of time on.
