The number of cases finalized with a verdict are the criminal cases reported to the police which have gone to court. There are three outcomes:
1) The case is tried and the accused is either found guilty and is convicted or the accused is found not guilty. 2) The prosecution withdraws the case in court before the accused has pleaded guilty or not guilty and the trail has begun. This usually occurs when there is not enough evidence to secure a prosecution. 3) The trial is ongoing and has been part heard.
