According to a survey on the representation of the Deaf community in media and entertainment, conducted in the United States in September 2022, ** percent of Deaf audiences and ** percent of hearing audiences have seen Deaf characters being represented in TV shows in movies in the country.
* The source states that 1,000 members of the Deaf community - including a mixture of deaf people, hard of hearing people and CODAs (Children of Deaf Adults) - as well as a comparison audiences of 1,000 U.S. consumers have taken part in the survey.
