Action role-playing title Final Fantasy 16, stylized as Final Fantasy XVI, is the latest mainline installment in the long-running Final Fantasy series. It is the first new entry in the series in seven years and a PlayStation 5 exclusive. During FF XVI's opening week, the game sold three million copies worldwide. However, as of March 2025, the game had only sold 3.5 million copies, despite also being released on PC in September 2024.
