In June 2023, the leading gaming industry showcases had an average minute audience (AMA) of 1.5 million, representing a 144 percent increase compared to 2022. The Xbox Game Showcase on June 11 was the most popular showcase of the big five, with an average minute audience of two million. A large part of this audience was keen on the Starfield Direct, a showcase about the highly anticipated Xbox and PC exclusive, which followed immediately after the Xbox showcase. PlayStation's first summer showcase in two years brought in a respectable 1.6 million AMA.
