In 2023, the production output of architectural and structural metals in the United States amounted to almost over 140 billion U.S. dollars. This category refers to structural metals which are designed to either hold the structure of the building, such as with concrete reinforcing bars, and to architectural metal which generally refer to metal doors and windows, or to other finishings made out of metal. The value of the production of construction supplies peaked in 2006 at well over 300 billion U.S. dollars.
