Warner Bros. Discovery reported an income before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of 409 million U.S. dollars with its direct-to-consumer segment in the fourth fiscal quarter of 2024. This marks a record improvement of over 400 million U.S. dollars compared to the same period in the previous year, when the company recorded a loss of 55 million U.S. dollars. In order to become profitable, the media company recently decreased content spending, including the removal of several TV series and movies from streaming service Max, and cut hundreds of jobs.
