Among the presented regions of Ukraine, the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast had the highest number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) as of December 2024, at 520,000. The Kharkiv Oblast followed with 447,000 IDPs. As for returnees from abroad, the highest figure was recorded in Kyiv.

The source excluded the estimates for the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, and Kherson regions due to limited coverage the territories not under control of the Ukrainian government and a limited number of respondents.
