According to a Rakuten Insight survey on attitudes to social media advertising in India conducted in 2023, a lack of trust was provided as the leading reason by over half the respondents who did not want to see social media ads. The second leading reason provided by over 30 percent of respondents was the interruption of their viewing experience.
