What is new is the fact that the data for the game app market are derived from the app market specialist App Annie." Therefore, figures prior to 2017 are only limited comparable to the following years.

In 2023, figures ​​for 2022 and 2021 were adjusted retroactively, because, according to the source, the categorization of gaming PCs and laptops was fundamentally revised.
