In 2024, the largest merger and acquisition (M&A) deals in Brazil was the acquisition of Terrenos ferroviarios de Madrid Nuevo Norte. The M&A deal between leading public rail companies was valued at approximately 1.3 billion U.S. dollars. Following closely, Brazil's internet service provider, UPI ClientCo, secured the second-largest transaction, amounting to over one billion U.S. dollars.
