Inequality in Europe: female share of total labor income in Europe 1991-2023

The female share of total labor income, that is, the share of total income earned by employees that is earned by women, has risen consistently in Europe over the past thirty years. While in 1991, the female share was roughly one-third of total labor income, it stood at almost 40 percent in 2023.
