As of 2022, more than 50 percent of plastic surgeons in Brazil were located in the Southeast Region of the country. This includes the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and Espírito Santo. The second highest concentration of plastic surgeons was found in the Southern Region, with approximately 17 percent of the total, followed by the Northeast, and Central-West, with 11.7 and 10.3 percent of the country’s cosmetic surgeons, respectively. As of that year, the North of Brazil had the lowest share of plastic surgeons.
