Influencer ads in violation of ASCI guidelines India FY 2024, by category

In the financial year 2024, personal care was the leading category to register complaints against influencers who violated guidelines laid down by the Advertising Standards Council of India, that amounted to 35 percent. Fashion and lifestyle followed with the second-highest share of influencer violations. Over 1,700 complaints were filed against ads that violated influencer guidelines that year.
