U.S. solar capacity forecast by sector 2050| Statista

Solar energy capacity is expected to grow rapidly in the next years. In the United States, the cumulative capacity installed by the electric power sector is expected to reach almost 854 gigawatts by 2050. Meanwhile, end-use sectors, that is, small on-site generating systems in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors for own-use electricity production and commercial and industrial plants with a non-regulatory status, are projected to reach 295 gigawatts of solar PV capacity by 2050.
