In 2024, when asked about the main reasons explaining the skills gaps within their organization's cybersecurity team, one-third of respondents stated that their company did not have the budget to hire enough people. In addition, 30 percent of respondents mentioned their company's struggle to find people to hire with the needed skills. Overall, 27 percent of respondents considered gaps in emerging technology areas as the main cause for skills gaps within their company.
