Use of cigarettes by school students in Europe 1995-2019

According to surveys of school students carried out between 1995 and 2019, the use of cigarettes by school students has declined in Europe. In 1995, 68 percent of 16 year-olds had ever smoked a cigarette, by 2019 this figure stood at 42 percent. Furthermore, the share of 13 year olds who were smoking daily decreased from 10 percent to three percent.
