Cycling tourists

Southern Germany, with its proximity to the Alps, yet relatively flat and bike-friendly terrain, remains a favorite destination for cycling tourists. The e-bike trend has also taken hold among these tourists, with over ** percent opting for electric assistance on their rides. Despite this, standard trekking bikes remained the top choice in 2023, with over ** percent preferring the non-assisted option. However, it is likely that e-bikes will surpass them in popularity in the coming years, if the trend continues to grow at the same pace.
