Number of domestic violence recorded incidences in Portugal 2013-2024

Over the considered period, the number of recorded incidences of domestic violence in Portugal dramatically increased twice. In 2019, the number of domestic violence crimes escalated to almost 29,500, while, in 2022, it reached the highest value recorded during the period analyzed, namely almost 30,500 incidences. By 2024, the number of recorded incidences of domestic violence decreased 0.8 percent compared to the previous year.
