Between July 2023 and June 2024, around a quarter of the network intrusions launched by Chinese nation-state or state-affiliated cyber threat actors were directed against the companies in the information technology industry. The education and research industries ranked second, with 22 percent of cyberattacks. Government organizations followed, with 20 percent.
