National and export sales expectations of European businesses 2024, by country

Montenegro, Portugal, and Turkey were the three European countries whose business communities most expected sales to increase in 2024. While Montenegro's business community was the most positive about the prospects for national sales, Turkey's businesses were the most confident about the export sales trade in 2024. On the opposite end, Austria, Germany, and Slovenia were the countries with the most pessimistic business communities in terms of sales expectations. Germany's business community's negative outlook for export sales is a particular issue, as the country is highly dependent on its export trade.
