As of June 2024, internet users in China were more supportive of data localization than users in other countries, with 86 percent stating so. French internet users ranked second, with 75 percent favoring data localization. Overall, 50 percent of the respondents worldwide thought data localization by the government was a good idea, while 30 percent were against it.
