In 2022, Germany was by far the EU country with the highest number of people employed in the plumbing, heat, and air-conditioning segment. That number was much higher than in France or Italy, where there were roughly 210,680 and 200,350 workers respectively in that segment of the construction industry. Despite Germany employing the most people in that sector, Italy was actually the EU country with the most plumbing and HVAC installation companies.
