The Middle East is the region with the highest number of oil and gas industry jobs. As of 2023, some 2.8 million people were employed in the oil and gas supply sector there. Much of the world's known oil reserves are concentrated in the Middle East, which includes some of the largest producers, such as Saudi Arabia and Iran.
