Full EV light mopeds in the Netherlands have been increasingly popular over the years, with sales volume growth of roughly seven-fold from 2017 to 2022. In 2022, sales in the full EV category declined by 24 percent while sales in the benzene category declined by a substantial 52 percent. In 2022, the sales gap between benzene and full EV light mopeds was the smallest it had been in the last six years.
