In 2022, sales volume of mopeds in the Netherlands in the EV category amounted to 14,910 units, which represents an 85 percent increase from the previous year, whereas benzene mopeds sales amounted to 18,500 units -an increase of 15 percent in sales from the previous year. The sales gap between benzene and full EV mopeds in the Netherlands has been decreasing in the last six years following the sharp increase in sales volume of full EV mopeds.
