Wales: number of anti-doping tests carried out by the WRU 2016-2024

Wales' governing body for rugby, the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), carried out over 300 anti-doping tests in the 2023/24 season. 275 of these tests were made outside of competitions, while 85 were carried out during competitions. While this was an increase over the previous two seasons, it was, however, a decrease from 2018/19 and 2019/20, when over 450 tests for performance enhancing drugs were administered in each season.
