Oil consumption in Norway 2011-2023

Norway consumed around 213,000 barrels of oil and oil products per day in December 2023. This was a decrease compared to the previous year and the lowest figure in the period of consideration. Oil consumption is largely tied to the use of oil-based transportation fuels, which has declined in light of greater electric vehicle adoption.
